Spike The Day of the Spike. One sunny day, Anna went to the park to play volleyball with her friends. She wore her new shoes with spikes to help her run faster on the grass. During the game, Anna saw a sharp spike sticking out of the ground. She carefully removed it so no one would get hurt. As they played, Anna made a great move and spiked the volleyball over the net. Her team cheered loudly. Later, they noticed a spike in the temperature. It suddenly got very hot, so they decided to take a break and drink some water. While resting, Anna’s friend, Tom, told a funny story about how he once accidentally spiked his drink with too much sugar. Everyone laughed.
